About Us
For more than five decades, TVVA has served as a trusted advocate for the Tanque Verde Valley, representing residents on issues that affect the area’s ecological resources, environmental quality, rural character, and unique community identity.
When significant land-use, development, conservation, or public policy issues arise, residents often look to TVVA to help inform, engage, and amplify the community’s voice.
Our role is to bring people together, advocate for responsible stewardship, and help ensure that decisions affecting the Valley reflect the values and priorities of the community.
By working collaboratively with residents, neighborhood associations, community partners, and public officials, TVVA helps preserve and protect the qualities that make the Tanque Verde Valley a special place to live, work, and enjoy.

Real People. Real Impact.
The TVVA has been very active in supporting the community and providing a unified voice on a variety of issues. The Board of the TVVA works extensively with local elected officials, law enforcement, and fire personnel in support of our stated purpose.
Activities
- Maintaining the SR (Low Density) zoning in areas surrounding Saguaro National Park.
- Maintaining the established zoning in the Tanque Verde Valley. Protecting riparian habitat.
- Supporting neighborhoods in the local community in opposing incompatible proposals.
- Providing a public forum for issues and concerns of Tanque Verde Valley residents.
- Political and community figures often address our annual general meeting to educate, inform, and answer.
- Supporting the Kirk-Bear Canyon Library. Establishing bike paths and horse trails.
